Sh. Manish Tiwari is a seasoned finance professional with over 25 years of post-qualification experience across infrastructure, power, and consulting sectors. He is a Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) – 1999, with academic credentials in B.Com and LLB.
Currently serving with RITES Ltd. for the past 16+ years, he has held multiple leadership roles spanning the entire spectrum of finance and financial services. His core expertise includes Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Direct & Indirect Taxation, Treasury Management, Project Finance, Accounting, Tendering & Contract Management.
He has successfully spearheaded strategic business units in diverse verticals including Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, and Consultancy. His key contributions include designing and implementing robust accounting systems and policies, strengthening financial reporting frameworks, institutionalizing internal control procedures, and developing effective budgeting and MIS tools.
Currently he is also heading the Central Accounts & Taxation Sub-Unit of the Finance Division in RITES Ltd, and responsible for preparation Annual accounts of the RITES Group and its audit from statutory auditor & CAG. He is also leading the Finance Core Team for SAP S/4HANA implementation across RITES & REMC Ltd., driving digital transformation in financial processes.
Prior to RITES, he was associated with Delhi Transco Ltd., the State Transmission Utility of Govt. of NCT of Delhi. During his tenure, he handled high-value substation project tendering & evaluation in the Project Finance unit and was conferred the ‘Best Employee of the Year’ Award in 2008. As a Finance Core Team member, he played a pivotal role in the successful implementation of ERP/SAP in 2010, significantly enhancing process automation and controls.
He commenced his career in 1999 with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Head Office, Delhi. At NHAI, he gained extensive exposure to the infrastructure sector and handled diverse finance functions including Treasury Management, Central Accounts, preparation of accounts for CAG Audit, and financial aspects of contract management. He was closely involved in compliance and financial management of highway projects funded by World Bank, ADB, JBIC, and Lines of Credit issued by the Government of India.
