Ms. Veena Sinha

Ms. Veena Sinha, IRSEE’95 is working as CEO in REMC Ltd, since 19/10/2023.She advises on regulatory issues and power procurement Planning, Management & Energy Economics and is also looking at diversification of company business in sectors other than Indian Railways and power procurement.

She graduated from M.I.T. Muzaffarpur and post graduated from IIT Kanpur in electrical engineering in 1994 &1996 respectively. Besides she hold MBA degree and is certified Energy Auditor.

She has nearly 20 years of experience at Middle Management level and 3 years at Senior Management level in Power Distribution System, HVAC, Rolling stock maintenance & operation, Renewable Energy, Information and Public Awareness during her posting in Northern Railway, Railway electrification Allahabad and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

She has served as Director in Ministry of New & Renewable Resources for 7 years (2012-2019) and has looked after the work of off grid and on grid Solar thermal & PV, Rooftop PV, conceptualisation & procurement process of Renewable Energy Management Centre under bilateral programme with Govt. of Germany, Green Energy Corridor, contributed in drafting of RE Laws/Acts and I&PA and international cooperation, Funding of renewable energy Projects under bilateral and multilateral arrangements.

She was felicitated with Hon’ble Minister of Railways Award in 2009 for her contribution for material planning and design for “World highest OHE System” on trial basis in Jakhpura-Daitari section of ECOR Railways. For brief period she also looked after role of Energy Manager, Northern Railways. Presently she is also serving as Executive Member, Indian Building Congress for the year 2023-24.

She has attended training programme at IP3 Washington and LSE London, represented India/Ministry at various bilateral/Multilateral platform in India and abroad. She was also part of team in organizing & Media Coverage for “International Solar Alliance” launch and publication of coffee table book for COP-21 event besides REINVEST/IORA events.

She also has authored papers/presentations on reactive power management for coaches, use of solar thermal system for industrial and commercial section, use of copper in Indian Railways, Energy Efficiency measures in building, case study of IR. Renewable Energy options of cold chain in India ,Net Carbon Zero and related topics.

Anjeev Kumar Jain

A Cost & Management Accountant with degree in Law & Diploma in Management.

A Cost & Management Accountant with degree in Law & Diploma in Management. He has experience of more than 25 years in the field of Finance & Accounts, Cost Accounts, Audit, Government Procurement, transaction advisory for PPP, Contract Management, Tendering & finance appraisal etc. He has vast experience of working in infrastructure sector which includes Companies like NHPC, DFCCIL and RITES.

He started his career with Defence Audit wing of C&AG of India where he worked for appx. 5 years and gained experience of handling Proprietary Audit of various defence establishments. He worked for appx. 15 years in NHPC, a leading Schedule ‘A’ CPSE in Hydroelectric Genco, wherein he handled functions related to finalization of Corporate Accounts, Audit, Contract Management, taxation, Compliance with Accounting Standards & financial appraisal at Corporate level and Project level as well.

He worked for appx. 5 years with Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India, an iconic project of Government of India having capex of appx. Rs.1,00,000 Crore, wherein he handled varied function such as Finance and Corporate Accounts, Audit, Risk Management, Contract Management, Coordination with Board Committee, GST implementation and INDAS implementation etc. During his tenure in DFCC he got a rich experience of dealing FIDIC contract and coordinating with Multilateral Agencies i.e. World Bank and JICA.

Represented NHPC (as part of delegation) in “Enterprise India” organized by CII at Yangon, Myanmar in November 2011.

He has been with RITES from 2019 and looking after finance functions of various deposit work and other consultancy assignments, being handled by RITES for clients in the field of Railways, Highways, Building & Airport, Ports, Urban transport etc. Handling PPP and monetization projects of IR.

RIZWAN AHMAD JAMALI

Shri. Rizwan Ahmad Jamali is working as Group General Manager(GGM) in REMC ltd. and is responsible for Renewable Energy Projects pertaining to Solar Power, Wind Energy and Sustainable energy development projects towards achievement of Mission “Net-Zero Carbon Emission of Indian Railways by 2030”.

He belongs to the IRSEE-97 batch (Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers) and is working on deputation in REMC ltd. since August 2023.He has an extensive experience of around 24 years of working in the field of Power Supply & Coaching, Locomotive Production, Traction Power Distribution, Train Operation, Design & Development of various Railway Projects during his postings in Northern Railway, Banaras Locomotive Works, South-Eastern Railway, RDSO (Research Design & Standards Organisation), North Central Railway.

He has also worked as Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board He has attended Advanced Management Programmes at INSEAD, Singapore and ICLIF, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has been to Milan, Italy regarding development of equipment’s of three phase Electric Multiple Unit Train. His interest includes painting, reading and pursues Walking and Swimming for fitness.

Sanjay Singh

Shri. Sanjay Singh  is working as Group General Manager in REMC ltd  and is responsible for overall Power Planning & procurement and providing advisory services to Indian Railways on issues related to Open Access. He advises strategies on regulatory issues to facilitate Open Access to Zonal Railways in Northern and Eastern region. He belongs to the IRSEE-99 batch (Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers) and is working on deputation in REMC ltd. since March’20.

He graduated from IIT Kharagpur in Electrical Engineering in 1998 and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance).He carries with him an extensive experience of 20 years of working in the field of Traction distribution, Design &Development of Railway Coaches and Electric Locomotive maintenance during his postings in Northern Railway and Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.

He was felicitated by Hon’ble Minister of Railways in 2018 for his contribution towards commissioning of Railway Electrification works in Delhi division during 2017-18. He has been conferred twice with General Manager’s award for excellence in performance. He has attended Advanced Management Programmes at INSEAD, Singapore and ICLIF, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has also attended training program on High Horse Power Locomotive at ALSTOM, France. He loves reading and pursues badminton, swimming and Yoga for fitness.

manish tiwari

Shri. Manish Tiwari is working as General Manager in REMC Ltd. He is a Graduate in Electrical Engineering from NIT, Bhopal with Masters' in Quality Engineering form B.I.T, Mesra.

He is currently looking after Power Procurement, Power planning and providing advisory services to Indian Railways on regulatory issues related to deemed licensee status and related matters. He is also advising Railways on issues related to scheduling of power including procurement of power form energy exchange.

He has vast experience in Quality Assurance including third party inspection of equipments and machinery procured by Indian Railways, Quality Systems and Quality Control, Drafting power purchase agreements etc. His interests include reading and table tennis and yoga for fitness.

Abhishek

Shri Abhishek is working as a  Additional General Manager at REMC Limited. He is a Graduate Electrical Engineer & Post Graduate in Management having 21 years of experience in various domains.

He is looking after planning & execution of Renewable Energy projects at REMC Ltd. He has played key role in bidding and implementation of various Solar Rooftop projects, Wind power projects & Ground mounted Solar PV power projects over Indian Railways. He is also associated with various activities related to Renewable & Sustainable energy, Net Zero Carbon Emission Mission of Indian Railways, Training & Capacity Building and sourcing of Green Power from Mega Solar Parks etc.

He has also served RITES Ltd. in various roles & capacities. He has experience in Quality Assurance including third party inspection of equipments and machinery procured by Indian Railways from domestic and overseas manufactures. Before RITES Ltd, he has also worked in General Electric (GE) Motors in the area of Plant Engineering.

He is a qualified Chartered Engineer and life member of various Professional Bodies. He attended various training programs at IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, MDI Gurugram, CPRI Bangalore, IREDA Vadodara, BHEL, ABB, IRIEEN & SUZLON etc. His interest includes Poetry, Cricket & Social Services.
