Ajay Kumar Singhal

He is an IRSEE officer of 1986 Engineering services examination batch. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from G B Pant University and a post graduate in Power Systems from IIT Delhi. He has experience of more than 32 years in field of rolling stock design, inspection, production and maintenance as well as power supply systems. He has worked in four Zonal Railways (NR, NCR, CR and SCR), RDSO Lucknow and at Chittaranjan Locomotive works. He was earlier on deputation to Ministry of Foreign affairs for 4 years and worked as Deputy Railway adviser at Embassy of India, Paris France. Since 2014, he is a Certified Energy Manager by BEE.

He has handled, in various capacities, many prestigious projects viz. design and development of 3-phase EMUs for Mumbai suburban, maintenance of fabricated bogies on BHEL built WAG-5 locomotives during initial phase, manufacturing of WAG-7 and WAP class of locomotives apart from the periodic overhaul of EMUs for Mumbai suburban system and electrical maintenance of LHB coaches. As a National Project Coordinator, a project on energy efficiency of UNDP and IR was also successfully implemented with CRIS, RDSO, IRIEEN and Zonal Railways. He has also worked as ADRM and DRM at Moradabad on Northern Railways and Principal Chief Electrical Engineer on North Central Railways.

He was deputed for training and other technical visits to AD Tranz Switzerland, Siemens Germany as well as for management trainings to INSEAD Singapore, ICLIF Malaysia, ISB Hyderabad, NAIR Vadodara and SDA Bocconi Business School, Italy.

He has authored many articles in Indian Railways magazine. He likes to play table tennis. He is also a visiting faculty at IRITM and for various MDP courses on NR.

Rupesh Kumar

Sh. Rupesh Kumar is from 1997 batch of Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE).

He is currently working as General Manager at REMC Ltd. He is a Graduate Electrical Engineer & Post Graduate in Management having 23 years of rich experience in various domains.

He is looking after planning & execution of Renewable Energy projects in Developer & CAPEX modes in REMC Ltd since July 2018. He has played key role in bidding and implementation of various Solar rooftop projects, Wind power projects & Ground mounted Solar PV power projects over Indian Railways.

He had served in Indian Railways at various roles i.e. Assistant Electrical Engineer/Traction Distribution Sealdah, Professor Electronics IRIEEN Nasik, Director PS & EMU at RDSO & Director Vigilance at RDSO.

He was also on deputation to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for more than 7 years from Jan’2003 to May’2010 and worked at various capacities i.e. Senior Electrical Engineer/Rolling Stock, Principal Training Institute, DGM/Train Operation.

Before joining Indian Railways, he also worked in PGCIL. He also attended various training programs such as Management training at IIM Ahmedabad, Advance Management training at INSEAD Singapore, ICLIF Malaysia, Metro Propulsion System training at Mitsubishi Osaka Japan, Metro operations training at SMRT Singapore etc.

Sanjay Singh

Sri Sanjay Singh (44) is working as General Manager in REMC ltd. and is responsible for overall Power Planning & procurement and providing advisory services to Indian Railways on issues related to Open Access. He advises strategies on regulatory issues to facilitate Open Access to Zonal Railways in Northern and Eastern region. He belongs to the IRSEE-99 batch (Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers) and is working on deputation in REMC ltd. since March’20.

He graduated from IIT Kharagpur in Electrical Engineering in 1998. He carries with him an extensive experience of 20 years of working in the field of Traction distribution, Design &Development of Railway Coaches and Electric Locomotive maintenance during his postings in Northern Railway and Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.

He was felicitated by Hon’ble Minister of Railways in 2018 for his contribution towards commissioning of Railway Electrification works in Delhi division during 2017-18. He has been conferred twice with General Manager’s award for excellence in performance. He has attended Advanced Management Programmes at INSEAD, Singapore and ICLIF, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has also attended training program on High Horse Power Locomotive at ALSTOM, France. He loves reading and pursues badminton, swimming and Yoga for fitness.

Anjeev Kumar Jain

A Cost & Management Accountant with degree in Law & Diploma in Management.

A Cost & Management Accountant with degree in Law & Diploma in Management. He has experience of more than 25 years in the field of Finance & Accounts, Cost Accounts, Audit, Government Procurement, transaction advisory for PPP, Contract Management, Tendering & finance appraisal etc. He has vast experience of working in infrastructure sector which includes Companies like NHPC, DFCCIL and RITES.

He started his career with Defence Audit wing of C&AG of India where he worked for appx. 5 years and gained experience of handling Proprietary Audit of various defence establishments. He worked for appx. 15 years in NHPC, a leading Schedule ‘A’ CPSE in Hydroelectric Genco, wherein he handled functions related to finalization of Corporate Accounts, Audit, Contract Management, taxation, Compliance with Accounting Standards & financial appraisal at Corporate level and Project level as well.

He worked for appx. 5 years with Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India, an iconic project of Government of India having capex of appx. Rs.1,00,000 Crore, wherein he handled varied function such as Finance and Corporate Accounts, Audit, Risk Management, Contract Management, Coordination with Board Committee, GST implementation and INDAS implementation etc. During his tenure in DFCC he got a rich experience of dealing FIDIC contract and coordinating with Multilateral Agencies i.e. World Bank and JICA.

Represented NHPC (as part of delegation) in “Enterprise India” organized by CII at Yangon, Myanmar in November 2011.

He has been with RITES from 2019 and looking after finance functions of various deposit work and other consultancy assignments, being handled by RITES for clients in the field of Railways, Highways, Building & Airport, Ports, Urban transport etc. Handling PPP and monetization projects of IR.
